Connection

The Autonics PS Series sensor’s PSNT17-5DOU features standard cable type connection. This cable covers the sensor’s 2 wires. It is 4 mm in diameter and 2 meters in length.

Sensing specifications

This inductive sensor’s frame size is 17mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target, which is an 18×18×1 mm piece of iron, is 5 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc.

Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it is a big deal to know this concept.
