The Autonics proximity sensor PR08-1.5DP features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Autonics. This NO proximity sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 1.5mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of m08 and Shield (flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body
This Autonics NO proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of nickel-plated brass, its sensing side is made of PBT, and its washer is nickel plated iron made.
The PR08-1.5DP features IP67 ingress protection.
The red LED on its body acts as the process indicator.
Connection
The PR08-1.5DP features standard cable type connection. This black cable covers the sensor’s 3 wires. It is 4 mm in diameter and 2 meters in length, and is made of PVC.
Sensing specifications
This inductive NO proximity sensor’s sensing side diameter is 8 mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target, which is an 8x8x1 mm piece of iron, is 1.5 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc.
Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it is a big deal to know this concept. Every sensor can detect its standard sensing target in a specified range, no matter what changes occur in ambient temperature, voltage fluctuations, etc. This distance, which is called the setting distance, is from 0 to 1.05 mm for this Autonics PR Series proximity sensor.
Control output
The PR08-1.5DP features PNP Normally Open control output. PNP stands for Positive-Negative-Positive transistors.
Temperature
There are limitations in temperature and humidity in which PR08-1.5DP NO proximity sensor is used:
- Storage temperature: -30 … 80°C
- Storage humidity: 35 to 95%RH
- Ambient temperature: -25 … 70°C
- Ambient humidity: 35 to 95%RH
Environment resistance is rated at no freezing or condensation.
