Contrinex proximity sensor M8, NPN NO DW-AS-611-M8
Non-embeddable (non-flush), M12 4-pin, 2.5 mm sensing distance
The Contrinex proximity sensor DW-AS-623-M5 features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Contrinex. This sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 2.5mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of M8, and Non-shield (non-flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body
This Contrinex proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of Stainless-steel V2A and its sensing side is made of PBTP (Crastin).
The DW-AS-611-M8 features IP67 ingress protection.
The LED on its body acts as the process indicator.
Connection
The Contrinex M8 NPN NO proximity sensor DW-AS-611-M8 features a 4-pin M12 electrical connection.
Sensing specifications
This inductive sensor’s sensing side diameter is 8 mm. This sensor’s maximum distance to detect its standard sensing target, which is a 8x8x1 mm piece of iron, is 2.5 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc. You could find out the sensing distance in Contrinex proximity sensors with a correction factor, mentioned in their datasheet.
This M8 NPN NO proximity sensor also features 0.12 mm repeat accuracy.
Control output
The DW-AS-611-M8 features NPN Normally Open control output. NPN stands for Negative-Positive-Negative transistors.
Temperature
The ambient temperature range that the DW-AS-611-M8 M8 NPN NO proximity sensor works properly in is -25 … 70°C.
