The Contrinex full metal proximity sensor DW-AD-701-M8 features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Contrinex. This sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 3mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of M8, and shield (flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body

This Contrinex full metal proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of Stainless-steel V2A and its sensing side is made of Stainless-steel V2A.

The DW-AD-701-M8 features IP 68 and IP 69K ingress protection.

The LED on its body acts as the process indicator.

Connection

The Contrinex full metal proximity sensor DW-AD-701-M8 features standard cable type connection. This cable covers the sensor’s 3 wires. It is 2 meters in length, and is made of PUR.

Sensing specifications

This inductive sensor’s sensing side diameter is 8 mm. This sensor’s maximum distance to detect its standard sensing target, which is a 9x9x1 mm, FE360 piece of iron, is 3 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc. You could find out the sensing distance in Contrinex proximity sensors with a correction factor, mentioned in their datasheet.

This M18 flush prox sensor also features ≤ 0.12 mm repeat accuracy.

Control output

The DW-AD-701-M8 features NPN Normally Open control output. NPN stands for Negative-Positive-Negative transistors.
