Autonics 1-channel U-shaped Photoelectric Sensor, BUP-30S
NPN Open collector, Cable type connection, Sensitivity adjustable
The Autonics photoelectric sensor BUP-30S is Through-beam sensing type, comes in a U shape, sensing distance of 30mm, Response time of Max. 1ms. The standard fork photo sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of Opaque material.

Body
This Autonics photoelectric sensor’s case is made of ABS, its Cap is made of PC.
The BUP-30S features IP50 ingress protection.
Connection
The Autonics sensor BUP-30S features standard cable type connection. This cable covers the sensor’s 4 wires. It is Ø4mm in diameter and 2 meters in length.
Sensing specifications
The sensing target for this photoelectric sensor is Opaque material of min. Ø1.5mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target is 30mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material.
Control output
The BUP-30S features NPN open collector control output.
Temperature
There are limitations in temperature and humidity in which BUP-30S photoelectric sensor is used:
- Storage temperature: -25 … 70°C
- Storage humidity: 35 to 85%RH
- Ambient temperature: -10 … 60°C
- Ambient humidity: 35 to 85%RH
Environment resistance is rated at no freezing or condensation.
