DESCRIPTION
Application
The Deltabar FMD72 electronic differential pressure (dp) system is designed for measuring pressure, level, volume, or mass in liquids contained in pressurized tanks, distillation columns, or evaporators. It features a high-pressure (HP) sensor that detects hydrostatic pressure and a low-pressure (LP) sensor that measures head pressure. The system’s transmitter calculates the level by processing these digital inputs, addressing common issues found in traditional dp measurements.
Ideal for applications involving differential pressure, level, volume, or mass measurement in pressurized tanks and distillation systems.
- Process connections: Available with threads, flanges, or hygienic connections.
- Process temperature range: -40 to +125°C (-40 to +257°F), with an optional extension to 250°C (480°F).
- Measuring range: 400 mbar to +40 bar (6 to 600 psi).
- Accuracy: Up to ±0.05% for single sensors, and ±0.07% for the system as a whole.
- Certifications: Includes international explosion protection and hygienic approvals.
Benefits
- Enhanced reliability: The electronic dp system eliminates the mechanical challenges of traditional systems, increasing process availability and reliability.
- Improved safety: The advanced architecture of the electronic differential pressure system reduces safety risks.
- Cost efficiency: Lower total cost of ownership, thanks to reduced installation time, maintenance, downtime, and spare part needs.
- Multivariable measurement: Simultaneous HART-based measurement of differential pressure, head pressure, and sensor temperature in a single system.
- Continuous diagnostics: Ongoing system health monitoring via HART-based diagnostics.
- Long-term stability: High reproducibility and stability over extended periods.
Process safety: Safe operation even in hygienic applications, with small, flush-mounted process connections.
