Embeddable (flush), M8 3-pin, 1.5 mm Sensing distance
The Contrinex proximity sensor DW-AS-622-M5 features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Contrinex. This sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 1.5mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of M5, and shield (flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive M5 flush proximity switch can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body
This Contrinex proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of Stainless-steel V2A and its sensing side is made of POM.
The DW-AS-622-M5 features IP67 ingress protection.
The LED on its body acts as the process indicator.
Connection
The Contrinex proximity sensor DW-AS-622-M5 features a potted connector S8 connection. It is a 3-pin M8 electrical connection.
Sensing specifications
This inductive sensor’s sensing side diameter is 5 mm. This sensor’s maximum distance to detect its standard sensing target, which is a 5x5x1 mm piece of iron, is 1.5 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc. You could find out the sensing distance in Contrinex proximity sensors with a correction factor, mentioned in their datasheet.
This M5 flush proximity switch also features 0.03 mm repeat accuracy.
Control output
The DW-AS-622-M5 features NPN Normally Closed control output. NPN stands for Negative-Positive-Negative transistors.
