The Contrinex proximity sensor DW-AD-601-04 features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Contrinex. This miniature proximity sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 0.8mm, housing size of Ø 4, and shield (flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body

This Contrinex proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of Stainless-steel V2A and its sensing side is made of POM.

The DW-AD-601-04 features IP67 ingress protection.

The LED on its body acts as the process indicator.

Connection

The Contrinex miniature proximity sensor DW-AD-601-04 features standard cable type connection. This cable covers the sensor’s 3 wires. It is 2 meters in length, and is made of PVC.

Sensing specifications

This inductive sensor’s housing size diameter is Ø 4 mm. This sensor’s maximum distance to detect its standard sensing target, which is a 4x4x1 mm piece of iron, is 0.8 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc. You could find out the sensing distance in Contrinex proximity sensors with a correction factor, mentioned in their datasheet.

This miniature proximity sensor also features 0.01 mm repeat accuracy.

Control output

The DW-AD-601-04 features NPN Normally Open control output. NPN stands for Negative-Positive-Negative transistors.

The ambient temperature range that the DW-AD-601-04 proximity sensor works properly in is -25 … 70°C.
