Inductive Sensor M30, PNP NO, Flush – PRCML30-10DP

DESCRIPTION

Autonics inductive proximity sensor M30, PNP NO – PRCML30-10DP

Shield (flush), Standard connector, 10 mm Sensing distance

The Autonics proximity sensor PRCML30-10DP features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Autonics. This sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 10mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of m30 and shield (flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

As you saw, this sensor is an inductive proximity sensor. Want to know what other proximity sensors are available? Get the full report on types of proximity sensors.

As a quick report, this inductive proximity sensor provides:

  • 30 mm sensing side diameter
  • PNP Normally Open control output
  • 10 mm sensing distance
  • Shield (flush) installation
  • Improved noise resistance
  • Shorten the time of maintenance
  • Reverse polarity, surge, and over-current protection
  • IP67 ingress protection structure according to IEC standards
  • Red LED status indicator
  • Alternative to micro switches and limit switches.

Body

This proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of nickel-plated brass, its sensing side is made of PBT, and its washer is nickel plated iron made.

The PRCML30-10DP features IP67 ingress protection.

The red LED on its body acts as the process indicator.

Connection

The Autonics inductive sensor PRCML30-10DP features standard cable type connection. This black cable covers the sensor’s 3 wires.

Sensing specifications

This inductive sensor’s sensing side diameter is 30 mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target, which is a 30x30x1 mm piece of iron, is 10 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc.

Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it is a big deal to know this concept. Every sensor can detect its standard sensing target in a specified range, no matter what changes occur in ambient temperature, voltage fluctuations, etc. This distance, which is called the setting distance, is from 0 to 7 mm for this proximity sensor.

Control output

The PRCML30-10DP features PNP Normally Open control output. PNP stands for Positive-Negative-Positive transistors.

Temperature

There are limitations in temperature and humidity in which PRCML30-10DP proximity sensor is used:

  • Storage temperature: -30 … 80°C
  • Storage humidity: 35 to 95%RH
  • Ambient temperature: -25 … 70°C
  • Ambient humidity: 35 to 95%RH

Environment resistance is rated at no freezing or condensation.
