Some main features of the PRL30-15AC Autonics proximity sensor are high noise immunity and stable sensing performance. These features are achieved by a specialized sensor IC developed by Autonics, itself. Available in m30 size, 15 mm sensing distance and Normally Closed control output, this proximity sensor is proper to use in various applications. This cylindrical inductive sensor can properly detect metallic objects at ambient temperatures up to 70°C.

Body
The PRL30-15AC case and nut is made of nickel-plated brass, its washer is made of nickel-plated iron, and its sensing side is PBT made.
Ingress protection of this inductive sensor is IP67 according to IEC standard.
This sensor has a red LED on its body, as the operation indicator.
Connection
Connection of the PRL30-15AC Autonics inductive proximity sensor is cable type. This standard black cable is made of PVC, and covers this sensor’s 2 wires.
Sensing specifications
The PRL30-15AC features sensing side diameter of 30 mm. The maximum distance that this inductive proximity sensor can detect its standard sensing target in is 15 mm, this distance is called the sensing distance. The sensing distance differs based on the target object’s material. This proximity sensor’s standard sensing target is a 45x45x1 mm piece made of iron.
Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it should be announced that for this sensor, it is 0 to 10.5 mm. setting distance describes the distance in which the proximity sensor can detect the standard sensing target, even if the sensing distance is decreased due to temperature or voltage fluctuations.
Control output
The control output of this products is Normally Closed, which means that there would be voltage on the output while the sensor is not actuated.

There are limitations in temperature and humidity in which this M30 NC inductive sensor is used:

- Storage humidity: 35 to 95%RH
- Ambient temperature: -25 … 70°C

Environment resistance is rated at no freezing or condensation.
