The Autonics proximity sensor PRW30-15DP2 features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Autonics. This sensor comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 15mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of m30 and Non-shield (non-flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body
This Autonics proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of nickel-plated brass, its sensing side is made of PBT, and its washer is nickel plated iron made.
The PRW30-15DP2 features IP67 ingress protection.
The red LED on its body acts as the process indicator.
Connection
The Autonics proximity sensor PRW30-15DP2 features standard cable type connection. This black cable covers the sensor’s 3 wires and is made of PVC.
Sensing specifications
This inductive sensor’s sensing side diameter is 30 mm. The maximum distance that this sensor can detect its standard sensing target, which is an 45x45x1 mm piece of iron, is 15 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc.
Although almost no one talks about the setting distance of an inductive sensor, it is a big deal to know this concept. Every sensor can detect its standard sensing target in a specified range, no matter what changes occur in ambient temperature, voltage fluctuations, etc. This distance, which is called the setting distance, is from 0 to 10.5 mm for this Autonics PR Series proximity sensor.
Control output
The PRW30-15DP2 features PNP Normally Closed control output. PNP stands for Positive-Negative-Positive transistors.
Temperature
There are limitations in temperature and humidity in which PRW30-15DP2 PNP proximity switch is used:

Environment resistance is rated at no freezing or condensation.
