Embeddable (flush), M12 4-pin, 8 mm Sensing distance

The Contrinex proximity sensor DW-AS-623-M8 features outstanding noise protection and stable sensing performance due to its specialized sensor IC developed by Contrinex. This PNP proximity switch comes in a round cylindrical shape, sensing distance of 2mm, sensing side diameter and housing size of M8, and shield (flush) installation. The standard cylindrical inductive sensor can be used in diverse applications requiring non-contact detection of metallic objects.

Body

This Contrinex proximity sensor’s case and nut parts are made of Stainless-steel V2A and its sensing side is made of PA12.

The DW-AS-623-M8 features IP67 ingress protection.

The LED on its body acts as the process indicator.

Connection

The Contrinex proximity switch DW-AS-623-M8 features a potted connector S12 connection. It is a 4-pin M12 electrical connection.

Sensing specifications

This inductive sensor’s sensing side diameter is 8 mm. This sensor’s maximum distance to detect its standard sensing target, which is a 8x8x1 mm piece of iron, is 2 mm. This so-called sensing distance differs from one sensing target to another, based on their material, size, etc. You could find out the sensing distance in Contrinex proximity sensors with a correction factor, mentioned in their datasheet.

This sensor also features 0.01 mm repeat accuracy.

Control output

The DW-AS-623-M8 features PNP Normally Open control output. PNP stands for Positive-Negative-Positive transistors.
